Although we have been able to secure a contract with the NHS, we have been funded for 1 day per week less than last year. As a result we are unable to accept any new patients under the NHS. We will do our best to maintain services to existing Health Service patients, but it is possible that we will exhaust the available funding before April 2007. Should this happen we will have to postpone non urgent treatment until the next financial year. We do not consider this situation to be satisfactory and are pressing the Primary Care Trust (PCT) to release funding at least to last year’s level.
We are still able to offer treatment under private contract, if you are 16 or over please contact the practice to arrange an appointment for an initial examination. Children must be registered by their parents or guardians. There is no lower age limit and we encourage parents to bring babies with them to their next routine appointment. An initial consultation costs £40.00 which includes any necessary x-rays etc., this will enable us to give an accurate appraisal of dental work which is necessary or desirable and what costs will be involved.

In emergency during normal hours please telephone the surgery for advice and if treatment is essential we will do our best to arrange an appointment within the next 24 hours. For emergencies out of hours please telephone 0845 601 8529 and be prepared to note the recorded instructions.
If you have swelling which is rapidly getting worse or bleeding which will not stop when pressed with a clean dressing you should attend the Accident and Emergency department of you local general hospital. These conditions are thankfully rare.
We ask that as much notice as possible is given if you need to cancel an appointment. We reserve the right to make a charge if an appointment is cancelled within 24 hours and we are unable to fill it.
